1 John 2:1-2 (KJV) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Just as John wants to prevent even one sinful event in the lives of those he loves. Like him I am concerned because just as he knows that even one sinful event can be used by Satan to discourage and defeat us, I know from my own experiences that we need to trust that we have a Savior and a defender. He paid the price to redeem us, he sent His Spirit to help us overcome sin's power, and He will speak to the Father and claim that right to forgive us.
This being that Jesus is The Father God having been manifest into the flesh, Jesus by way of His Holy Spirit then becomes our conduit, our pipeline to the way of Holiness and righteous living after being born again. Divine forgiveness is the purpose of the flesh's sacrifce as was done by Jesus' body to give us a way of being cleansed with His blood. Denial of self is our sacrifice to Him as we live by His commands. First to repent and be baptized and to be filled with His Holy Ghost and to give up the ways of man, the ways of our pagan upbringings, the ways of the lifestyles around us resulting in separation from the world ... and more especially in our time to come out from among them (the blinded church) out from the darkness into His marvelous light
