"For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting"
For he that soweth to his flesh - Who pursues the indulgence of fleshly appetites and passions. He who makes use of his property to give indulgence to licentiousness, intemperance, and vanity.
Shall of the flesh - From the flesh, that which indulgence in fleshly appetites produces.
Corruption - By disease or by death. Death everlasting.
But he that soweth to the Spirit - He who follows the leading and cultivates the desires which the Holy Spirit would produce.
Shall of the Spirit - As the result of following the Spirit.
Reap life everlasting - He shall reap life everlasting. Eternal life, which God of His rich grace promised them before the world was, and of His free favor He put into the hands of Christ for them as a pure gift of grace.
