Proverbs 3:9 (KJV) "Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase"
Oh lets all hop on the band wagon and rally together for a corporate entrepreneur because they stand up for one moral!!!
1 Timothy 6:9 (KJV) But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
Ok so they support traditional marriage. many organizations do, but they also do many things that blaspheme against God. For starters the Chic-Fil-A coprorate owners celebrate pagan holidays. The corporate owners know nothing of Acts 2:38. They observe the wrong day as the Sabbath, they are trinitarian and they are involved in all sorts of worldly affairs ...
So many people hold up certain morals even without knowing God or anything of the Bible. We should not be so quick to give so much favor to someone just based on one moral defense. Don't think for one minute that its not in the back of their minds how much money will roll in from the Christian community!
If you want to support and acknowledge someone for upholding Gods word, make sure they do live by it first! Otherwise you put them on a pedestal falsely and in turn you endorse them. And that will ultimately get people thinking "well Chic-Fil-A is a Christian company and they don't baptize, they don't observe the Biblical Sabbath and they celebrate pagan holidays and God has blessed them greatly! So why should we be concerned about those things?"
I am not saying God will not bless someone with success I am saying that you must be careful who you choose to represent!
Matthew 23:23 (KJV) "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."
I can promise you that there is almost no one, if anyone in the full truth of God and successfully wealthy at the same time ... in fact I have never heard (perhaps the media hides it from us) of any one who was already wealthy suddenly coming into the truth and changing their ways to truly serve God ... I believe it has happened in the Bible and is possible today, we just never hear about it much ...
Mark 10:23-25 (KJV) "And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
What this Scripture is saying is that tho it is not impossible, it is difficult for the rich to get into Heaven ...
If I suddenly became wealthy "by the hand of God," I would never advertise it or flaunt it. I would put it to use for the works of God's Kingdom. I don't mean I would build some luxury church building loaded with high cost sound equipment and dance club lighting. I dont mean I would purchase a big house and fill it with tons of materialism. I mean I would put it to use for God's Kingdom. I'd help people with certain needs here and there, I'd invest it in things like ministry material and perhaps missionary work. For myself and my family there would mostly ony be the basic comforts for living ...
Malachi 3:8-10 (KJV) "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed Me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed Thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."
This an opportunity I pray for knowing where my heart is about it, and it gets me so frustrated seeing all these rich, false preachers and prophets just living it up in the wealth they steal from hungry souls ... or even if they worked from the bottom and climbed their way up, they still do very little good with their money. Certainly they're not truly saving anyone's souls ...
I can only hope that perhaps there are others out there with the same desire or are already doing what I wish to ... I have slowly learned from God what I can do for others having little or nothing to offer. Its my prayer to discover what I can accomplish with more, with resources ...
