I have to wonder sometimes if I came to some of your churches and preached the way I do on here, how many people would still be left in the pews when it was over ... I am not ear tickler, I'm an evangelist of biblical truth ...
"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." *Proverbs 4:7*
My mission is to change minds, so my mind doesn't change unless it can be absolutely shown to me in the Word. When you come at me with attitude and anger or to use scripture to justify yourself, I know that is not of God. That comes from your own lack of desire to learn because you fear conviction and change. Sometimes it is not even about conviction. I change when I see something in the Bible out of pure respect. That is my conviction ... I will not sit under Pastors who ignore the Bible or will not give God their ear. Nor will I attend services with Pagan idolatry and demonic representations being renamed as something Holy. I certainly do not play politics and organizational games. I do not argue or debate over doctrine and semantics. Nor do I compromise in my stance. I make mistakes and I am not always consistent in my walk, but I know truth and I don't see it as a choice to believe. Truth is truth no matter where one stands with their opinions. If you disagree with truth, you disagree with God ...
"A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight." *Proverbs 11:1*
Ive lived most of my life in two worlds. I went to church as a child without my parents or proper moral upbringing. Ive trapped myself numerous times in situations only God was able to pull me out of. Even now I still battle with inner conflicts and probably always will simply because I am human just like the rest of you, but I am not torn about the truth nor am I confused about the moral dilemma that has infected our society ...
Ive not always kept up in prayer and studies. I am not invincible against the enemy and his wiles ... I am not invulnerable to the offensive behavior of worldly people. I do however know the way of God and that ALL will be held accountable someday ...
I know too that sometimes when we try making amends on our own recognizance that we make more of a mess than anything. I like things such as video games and other forms of entertainment. I use some of the technology I tend to speak out about. I like my android phones and laptops. None of us are completely clear of the many influences surrounding our lives.
Its what we do with our time that God watches for. Its how we relate with Him in or private time that He values most. Noone knows the true relationship anyone else has with Jesus. We need to be focused on where we stand with Gods Word and create our own properly balanced relationship before we can concern ourselves with the lives of others, else we cause them to fall away because we were not "up to par" in the truth of our own walk ...
American Christianity has largely, with some exceptions, missed its calling. How else could we have so many churches with so many programs filled with so many people yet still have this much of a mess? One reason is because we have settled for "doing church" or "playing church" rather than advancing The Kingdom. A Kingdom perspective would help US to open OUR eyes and hearts and minds to see OURSELVES as much as each other as God sees us ...
I will be the first to admit that I am quite critical in the matters of human behavior and conduct. Even against my own self. But it also frustrates me to have witnessed so much division and controversy in the one place where the devil should not be allowed to reside, the church ...
Tho the lot of us have become so passive and accepting of things that are brought into church. Standards are at an all time low. Entertainment is at an all time high. The man behind the pulpit has become more followed than has the message from the pulpit ...
We are LOSING the battle against time and we are surrounded by the evidence of that. Even I get caught shaking my head rather than speaking up for fear of conflict ...
Forgive US Lord for WE know not what WE do ...
