I have discovered in my travels that many church organizations with many thousands of followers either do not preach baptism, or preach it falsely, and countless congregations are all being decieved ...
On the website of one particular organiztion in the "What We Believe" page it states the following:
>>>About Baptism
Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is your public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Baptism does not save you, but shows the world that you have already been saved. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ. Its states EVERYWHERE in the Bible that is the only way!
That is the biggest set of lies the devil can ever encourage us to teach ...
Acts 2:38 clearly points out the exact way in which we are to be baptized and therefore "saved"
*Luke 24:47* is perhaps my favorite if not the best scripture for enforcing Acts 2:38 as well as Mark 16:16-17. Both in the Words Of Christ Himself. Matthew 28:9 does not say in the "Names" it says in "THE NAME" of Christ and so many people have even told me that "well its the same thing" ... No it is not. It is not what our Lord has commanded of us. Baptism and Holy Ghost are not options, they are God's very law. The Bible is not just a set of guidelines for us to decide how to live on our own terms. We cannot simply choose which things to follow and which to ignore ...
In the last line of this churches beliefs on the baptism is says: "And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ" ...
Ummm Excuse me? Did they just say that is not a requirement to obey something God has commanded of us? ... WOW
In the book by Matthew Henry called Concise Commentary On The Whole Bible it says in the topic of Acts 2:38 " The apostle exhorted them to openly repent of their sins and to avow their beliefs in Jesus as the Messiah *by being baptized in His name*. To separate from wicked people is the only way to save ourselves from them"
This is also why infant baptism is wrong as well as the sprinkling of water over our heads. To be baptized means to be submerged and washed. An infant has no understanding of faith or moral conscience, nor can they make the choice for remission of sins. Baptism always has the prerequisite of repentance and faith, which are impossible for an infant. Baptism is for the remission of sins, and infants are not capable of repenting.
*Hebrews 11:6* "Says: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
*Romans 10:17* "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
*1 Peter 3:21* "The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ"
The Lord's Supper and Baptism are both sacraments and are the same sign and seal, since the Lord Supper may not be given to unbelievers, neither should baptism. (This this occurence takes place quite often) *1 Corinthians 11:28* "But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup."
These are all actions in which an infant or very young child is incapable of. There must be an ability to understand what we are receiving and why ...
Nelson's Bible Commentary emphasizes that the *first action* of a new believer is baptism for the remission of sins.
It is so much more than just mere symbolism. It is a command of Christ to all His followers. Baptism represents more than just physical washing, but being clean and in good standing before God, and therefore regenerated. It is a required piece of the puzzle for completing our journey to Heaven. We will all of us be held accountable in the end. Noone is exempt. God does not wish any one of our souls to be lost. Do we wish ourselves expendable?
Please, I implore you to do your own research and allow yourselves to have your eyes opened to The Unshakable Truth ...
