Matthew 10:22 "And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved."
Many Christians say we shouldn't watch or participate in things like sports. Why not? You already celebrate and participate in worldly and pagan things. Such as entertainment and money making in the church and purchasing self serving expenses. As well as "Christmas" and "Easter" even "Halloween" and other pagan holidays. All pagan and demonic in their origins. All watered down and renamed for the sake of self indulging ... as well as cursing against God.
Sports on the other hand, in their origins were simply games played for fun. There was no money involved, no multi-billion dollar corporation. No idolatry or player worship and no greed ...
Sports, like Christianity, has been ruined by man ...
This message is not another one of my usual rants about holidays as much as it is about true discipleship.
Many Christians are well liked and well respected, even famous despite their alleged beliefs. A true Christian (in most cases) would never be such a popular person in their community let alone in the world.
Jesus' words Matthew 10:22 are very strong! His emphasis is for a reason. Christians need to realize that they are not going to be the dominant culture. True discipleship is hard and demanding. Most folks want things simple, convenient and easy. The values that disciples are called to put into place in their lives are not going to be the dominant cultural ones. Yet every Autumn thru Spring millions of churches around the world are directly a part of the popular culture ...
Jesus is telling us. "Be ready to face criticism and rejection." Especially and even from fellow Christians! But while it is an uphill battle to change the hearts of men and women, we can be God's tools to bless others and to lead them closer to Him.
As you continue in your judgments of others while regularly participating in Satanic rituals and traditions, you are moving further and further away from God, hence becoming more popular with the world ... and with Satan
